What is data mining exactly? I believe I do an amatuer form of it when I look at the models in wowmodelviewer. I dunno, it makes me feel special seeing mounts and stuff before they come out and I have to get them.

Data mining is basically looking at the code that they put out and digging out stuff... Like aquatic mounts.. that was mined out months ago... It is very clear to me that the Maelstrom is the next expansion... whatever they title. it..

Thought so... So i guess I do do an amateur for of it because wowmodelviewer basically takes all the code from the game and gives you the models for them. E.G. if you don't have WoW installed it won't work.
